The route into Spartans 2011s is through Spartans Community Football Academy so if you know a player who wants to get involved in football at Spartans, please contact SCFA to find get details of their weekly coaching timetable.
The Spartans Football Club are delighted to announce that Chairman Craig Graham has been awarded the Member of the British Empire medal in this year’s Queen’s Honours List.
Unveiled late on Friday evening, “Craig Andrew Graham. Chairman, The Spartans Community Football Academy. For services to Football and the community in Edinburgh. (Edinburgh)” was listed within the MBE section of the roll of honour.
The Club and Academy’s social media accounts were flooded with fantastic comments as people from across all sectors joined us in celebrating this wonderful news.
An ebullient Graham said, “It’s very humbling to receive this honour. At Spartans we have many inspirational people & it’s how everyone works together which enables us to make such a difference. Everyone should be very proud to have played their part since we opened the Academy in 2008.”

Spartans took home the John McConnell Memorial Cup after penalty shootout drama at New Dundas Park, Bonnyrigg on Tuesday evening.
After extra time with the sides still locked at 0-0 it went to penalties against Hutchie.
Man of the match Niall who had made a string of great saves stood strong and it was fitting that a Niall save won the cup.
Games against Hutchie have been tight affairs this season and this was no different.
Both teams had chances. Spartans missed some golden opportunities and Niall denied all of the long range efforts from Hutchie.
It’s the first trophy of the season for Spartans 2002 and hopefully the boys can kick on now and bring home the Scottish and SE Region too.
Congratulations to the Spartans 2004 Whites who today won the Edinburgh Cup Final against Oxgangs AC today.
Spartans 2004 Whites win the Edinburgh Cup Final
Spartans Whites were 7-1 winners today after being 4-nil up at half time. Man-of-the-match was Harry Little scored who scored 4 and he was joined on the Spartans scorers list by Given Ndlovu who scored 2 & Oscar Jamieson who scored 1.
This was the 2nd cup win this season for Spartans Whites following their 5 – 1 victory last month in the Vauxhall Belmont Cup against Peebles.
2017 is turning into a great year for the Spartans 2004s with Spartans Reds already having won 1 cup and in another final & Spartans Youth winning their Ken Ritchie Cup Semi final at Saughton today to put them in 2 Cup Finals!
Well done to Spartans FC U13 Whites (2004) who have reached the Edinburgh Cup Final!
They are hoping for a good crowd so try to get along as kick-off is 11.00 on Sunday 23rd April 2017 and the match is at New Dundas Park, Bonnyrigg.
We’ll aim to post photos and match info in the days after the match.
Last year with your help we collected and donated almost 300 Easter Eggs to children in the North Edinburgh community. This year, we would like to offer support again to ensure that children in our community don’t miss out on a visit from the Easter bunny.
What can you do to help? Before Wednesday 12th April, we are hoping to collect as many Easter Eggs as we can. Our target is to surpass last year’s total of 300 eggs. If you can spare an egg, then please donate and make a child happy this Easter!
Where can you drop off any donations?
Any donations can be dropped off at main office at The Spartans Community Football Academy, Ainslie Park, 94 Pilton Drive, Edinburgh, EH5 2HF. We will then arrange for all the eggs to be delivered to our local foodbanks before Easter Sunday.
Thank you #hereforgood
